Montana Gaelic Cultural Society Irish Language Immersion weekend in Butte 2018
We will be having an Irish language immersion course in Butte, Montana from 6:30 PM April 06, 2018 through 1:00 PM April 08, 2018. This event will be held at the Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives, 17 W Quartz Street in Uptown Butte.
The classes are taught by Irish Language teachers currently and formerly at the University of Montana. This year, the teachers are:
Orla McCague and Giollaíosa Ní Mhaonaigh, 2017-2018 Fulbright teachers at the University of Montana
Ciara Ní Riain, former Fulbright teacher at the University of Montana
Tomás Ó Murchadha, Spring semester Law exchange student at the University of Montana
This year, there will be 4 levels:
Beginning / Lower intermediate – Instruction and explanations in English
Intermediate – Instruction and explanations in English and Irish
High Intermediate – Instruction and explanations in Irish, with clarification in English if needed
Advanced – Instruction and explanations strictly in Irish.
The cost for this event will be $85.00 plus MGCS Membership ($15.00 Individual, $25.00 Family)

Flights into Butte are available on Delta Airlines with airport pickup provided by volunteers. A car is not needed while here, because everything can be within walking distance and we will carpool for extra events. See attached information for lodging details.This event is always a lot of fun and focuses on conversation and learning in a stress-free environment.

9-11:30 AM Class
***NOTE: The teaching fees for this course were obtained by a grant and are funded by the Irish Fulbright program. The extra teachers are teaching for FREE.
